Villa with double thatched roof
Berla Lighting provided the lighting for this characterful villa by architect Arend Groenewegen. Subtle lighting accents perfectly showcase the wooden structure and generous sightlines – a home where light and architecture enhance each other.
Berla Lighting was commissioned to provide the lighting for this charming detached villa in the countryside. Designed by architect Arend Groenewegen, the house is striking for its double thatched roof, the contrast between white stucco, gray brickwork, and dark wood accents, and the clean lines of slats that frame the large window frames.
Inside, the oak main structure forms the warm heart of the interior. Generous voids and open sightlines create a dynamic connection between the various spaces, each with its own character, yet in harmony with one another.
The lighting is carefully coordinated with these architectural elements. With subtle lighting accents, we emphasize the wooden structure, create depth in the voids, and create ambiance in every space – from the bright basement with natural light through a dormer window to the inviting living areas upstairs.
The installation was expertly carried out by Vos Elektrotechniek, in collaboration with interior designer Studio Jolanda Knook and contractor Van Zon Realisatie.
A home where light and architecture enhance each other – proudly delivered by Berla Lighting.
